Tech Comm, Inc. was founded in 1981 and has focused on providing military, government intelligence agency and law enforcement organizations with cost effective, high performance geo-location equipment and services. The company, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida designs and manufactures radio direction finding (DF) systems and direction finding (DF) antenna arrays for ground based, light weight mobile, vehicle mounted, seaborne and airborne applications. These applications range from reconnaissance, maritime surveillance, SAR (Search and Rescue), COMINT (communications signal intercept and analysis) to spectrum management.
Products include a wide range of DF antenna arrays, DF receiver and DF processor systems. DF antennas vary in size from medium size shipboard vertical monopole arrays, to small, low profile, conformal airborne arrays using blade and slot element design techniques. Tech Comm has DF arrays to cover various frequency bands of 2-30MHz, 30-500 MHz, 30-2700 MHz, 30-3000MHz, 30-6000 MHz and special antennas to cover specific bands of interest such as the maritime 136-174 MHz band. DF systems are comprised of HF and VHF/UHF receivers coupled to DF processors with touch screen display panels housed in 2U and 3U standard rack mount chassis. These field proven systems are complete with an internal CPU, front panel keyboard and GUI control software load with receiver control and map overlay DF plots and installed on a range of air and surface platforms.
Tech Comm has undertaken an extensive internal research and development program to develop the next generation DF arrays and DF systems in the TC-9300 Tactical COMINT and DF system. This system is configured in two (2) versions, the TC-9300T for tactical in the field set-up and TC-9300P configured for various platform installations. The design emphasizes small size, low weight, low power and high performance using advanced SDR receiver channels, innovative DF processor using the latest FPGA components and algorithms and 8-panel antenna arrays to improve DF accuracy and intercept capability in dense signal environments. The TC-9300 system is also well suited for small fixed wing and rotary airborne, UAV/UAS, vehicle and small boat installations as well as OTM (on-the-move) man carry operations.
